MERCADO Ocelotl Tee

Ocelotl Tee

$55.00
sold out

The tee was made by Everybody World in Los Ángeles, California with 100% US grown cotton and screen printed with water based inks by Misplaced Screen Printing in Portland, Oregon.

The image on the back was found on an Aztec clay flat stamp in Valle Nacional, Oaxaca. Similar jaguar (or Ocelotl in Nahuatl) imagery has been found elsewhere in Aztec ruins and artifacts. Jaguars were revered by many indigenous groups of the Americas, not just Aztec. Deities, pyramids, and temples were dedicated to them.
