This Pintor Shirt is made with a 6.7 oz sumi ink dyed fabric woven on shuttle looms in Japan. The fabric is dyed using a unique ink-based dye derived from traditional Japanese calligraphy ink (Sumi), and the stripe pattern is inspired by the patterns worn by feudal lords (Daimyo) during Japan’s Edo period.

The yarns of this fabric are dyed individually with sumi ink and then woven on modified shuttle looms originally designed for selvedge denim. The fabric comes from Eastern Hiroshima, Japan, a region long known for its heritage in traditional weaving and dyeing techniques.

Due to the small quantities and slow nature of this fabric production, the pre-order window will be open through the weekend or until fabric stock is sold out.

This Pintor Shirt is made with a 6.7 oz indigo dyed fabric from Japan. When working with Indigo the depth of color is determined by the number of dyeing cycles applied to the yarn. This fabric represents the lightest shade, a soft and light blue.

Despite its brightness, the yarns are dyed before weaving allowing the indigo to penetrate deeply into the fibers, resulting in a rich and beautifully layered color. It is produced in Eastern Hiroshima, a region known for its long-standing textile heritage.

These pants are made-to-order with a 12 oz. canvas plain weave sourced from Envirotextiles. This fabric is light and breathable giving these pants more character and texture with every wear. This is a loose-fitting, straight leg pant with a 9" hem opening.
